Pineapple Angel Food Cake

We went to a party this weekend, and I offered to bring this cake, as I had seen the recipe in a magazine and thought it sounded good. To say that it went over well is a drastic understatement. People were taking me aside and asking me for the recipe, telling me they loved it, someone thought it was from a bakery, and the entire cake was eaten. It was delicious and stupid easy.

    this is too weird … you and my MOTHER made the same exact cake this weekend, she too for the first time and said she made it in like, 5 minutes! a complete stranger in the grocery store who was buying the angel food cake told my mom how to make it and so she did. we ate it after they had us over for a BBQ dinner last night. strange but true.

    and yes, it was yummy, and i’m not even all that fussy about cake.

    That’s awesome. I need to tell my mom about this cake so she can stop making the pudding/cream biscuit cake. Oh, how I hate that cake. Would it be wrong to make it for dinner tonight?

    maggie, i’m sure my mom has already told your mom about this cake during one of their marathon phone calls. if she has not already, i guarantee she will, somewhere in between my mom bitching about my wedding invitation lock-down and your mom bitching about what you (don’t) feed Alex.

    Make the cake! Low in calories and cholesterol! Woo! Not like Cool Whip is the greatest thing you can put in your mouth, but better than oodles of buttercream frosting, I suppose. :)

    OOOH that cake looks sooo good..I am not a big fan of Angel Food cake but hey the pineapple and Cool Whip can make it yummy…will have ta try this one.

    Okay, stupid question…do you prepare the instant pudding or do you just stir the dry contents into the pineapple and cool whip? I’m an idiot!
